Boy Scout Troop 1034 Glen Carbon, IL |

History |
|
Troop 1034 has a rich history. Our troop was established in Glen Carbon in 1927. Our weekly meetings were held in many places, some of which were: the Methodist Church in Glen Carbon, the S M Home, the Mine Rescue Station, the old firehouse building (then called the Boy Scout Building), the Glen Carbon School, the Old City Hall, and the Old village Hall, and the Glen Carbon Senior/Community Center (where we meet now).
The troop has had 647 scouts, 29 scoutmasters, and 176 adult volunteers. (This may not be all of them!)
Our tradition is to help the boys aspire to become Eagle Scouts. We have produced over 65 Eagle Scouts and have more on the way.
